Book Panel Proposal

A book panel proposal includes a chair, the author, and three discussants. A chair presents the panel members, ensure that presenters do not exceed their allocated time, and direct the public Q&A after all panel members have spoken. The discussants offer a constructive critique of the book. To be eligible, a book must have been published in 2019 or forthcoming in 2020.

To submit a book panel proposal, the panel organizer must fill out a Book Panel Proposal Form and send it by attachment to [email protected] and [email protected]. The form includes the book title, publishing house and year of publication, a 300 word abstract of the book, as well as the coordinates and 100 word biographical statements of each panel members.

Each panel member must also fill out a separate Fact Sheet online.

If the proposed book has more than one author, a separate Fact Sheet must be filled out for each author intending to attend the Convention if the proposal is accepted.

A Book Panel Proposal can be submitted by the book author, or by someone else. The Program Committee can only consider complete book proposals.
