ASN Statement on the Coronavirus

March 5, 2020

ASN is monitoring the situation of the Coronavirus spread. The Convention is still on and the program will be released next week.

As has been widely reported, the uncertainty surrounding the spread of the coronavirus has caused the cancellation of several large public events set to take place in the coming days and weeks – particularly in Europe. The ASN Convention is in two months, but there is a possibility that it could be adversely affected by the unpredictable diffusion of the virus. We are closely monitoring the situation and are in contact with the authorities at Columbia University. Until further notice, the Convention is still on, but the March 15 registration deadline is extended to March 25. Developments in the next 10-14 days are likely to be determinant. In the meantime, a Convention schedule will be provided in the coming week.
