Virtual ASN Initiative is Announced

Virtual ASN Inaugural Event: Thursday, May 7, 1 PM Eastern Time/7 PM Central European Time

ASN is pleased to announce the roundtable symposium “Nationalism and the Pandemic”, the inaugural event of Virtual ASN, an online initiative that will periodically bring together our worldwide ASN community at a time of physical distance: From a Distance. Together. Further Virtual ASN events are planned. 

The roundtable will feature four leading academic voices from the ASN global community: 

Florian Bieber (U of Graz, Austria), 
Kanchan Chandra (NYU, US), 
John Hall (McGill U, Canada) 
Gwendolyn Sasse (ZOiS, Germany/U of Oxford, UK). 

ASN President Zsuzsa Csergő (Queen’s U, Canada) will moderate the panel.

Nationalism and the Pandemic” will be broadcast via Zoom and Facebook live feed on Thursday May 7, at 1 PM Eastern Time/7 PM Central European Time. The session will last until 2.20 pm ET/8.20 pm CET.
